According to a tweet released by Altair Technology, a Bitcoin mining machine with a computing power of only 500Gh/s successfully mined a memory block on July 24th. Based on the current Bitcoin price, the value of this memory block is approximately $206000.

This mining machine is produced by D-Central Technologies and is only the size of a palm, making it a relatively small mining machine.
picture sourceAccording to reports, the mining machine was connected to the Solo CKPool node infrastructure service when successfully mining a memory block. CKPool's Solo CKPool is a specific service that supports independent mining, allowing miners to operate independently without sharing resources with other miners. If miners successfully mine a memory block, they will receive all the rewards for that memory block and do not need to share them with other miners. Although it is called a 'mining pool', it actually allows miners to mine as independent nodes, rather than a traditional collaborative mining pool.
According to the blockchain data, the Bitcoin memory block number is 853742, which was mined at 11:43 AM UTC on July 24th and generated by 'Solo CKPool'. According to Altair, this memory block was independently mined by a 500 Gh/s Bitaxe device.
According to data from the Bitcoin analysis platform CoinWarz, the current total power of the Bitcoin network is 552.49 Eh/s, equivalent to 552490000000 Gh/s, which is approximately 1.1 billion times the power of Bitaxe mining machines. In other words, the likelihood of Bitaxe independently mining a memory block is only 1 in 1.1 billion. In April of this year, an independent Bitcoin miner also mined a memory block. However, the miner used a device with a power of 120000000 Gh/s and a processing power 240 times that of Bitaxe.
Generally speaking, most Bitcoin miners choose to pool their computing power with their peers and distribute rewards in the mining pool equally based on the proportion of computing power contributed by each miner. But some Bitcoin enthusiasts are concerned that this approach may lead to centralization of the Bitcoin network, so they will insist on choosing independent mining.
